AN ORDINANCE VACATING THAT PORTION OF WEST SEVENTEENTH
STREET BETWEEN THE WEST CURB LINE OF IZARD STREET AND
THE EAST CURB LINE OF CHESTER STREET; VACATING THAT
PORTION.OF WEST SEVENTEENTH STREET BETWEEN.THE WEST
CURB LINE OF CHESTER STREET AND THE EAST CURB LINE OF
RINGO STREET; VACATING THAT PORTION OF WEST SEVENTEENTH
STREET BETWEEN THE.WEST.CURB LINE OF RINGrO.STREET AND..
THE UST CURB LIKE OF CRASS. STREET :.. VACATING . THAT POR-
TION OF WEST EIGHTEENTH STREET BETWEEN THE WEST CURB
LINE OF CHESTER STREET AND THE EAST CURB LINE OF RINGO
STREET; VACATING THAT PORTION OF WEST EIGHTEENTH STREET
BETWEEN THE WEST CURB LINE OF RINGO STREET.AND THE.EAST
CURB LINE OF CROSS STREET; ALL IN THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS; DECLARING THAT SAID PORTIONS OF SAID
STREETS ARE NOT REWUIRED FOR CORPORATE PURPOSES; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, in order to effectively consummate the objectives of
the Redevelopment Plan of The Housing Authority of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas for the Central Redevelopment Area, it is necessary
that the following described portions of the following described
streets in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas be vacated, to -wit:
West Seventeenth Street between the West curb
line of Izard Street and the East curb line of
Chester Street; West Seventeenth Street between
the West curb line of Chester Street and the East
curb line of Ringo Street; West Seventeenth Street
between the West curb line of Ringo Street and
the East curb line of Cross Street; West Eighteenth
Street between the West curb line of Chester Street
and the East curb line of Ringo Street; West
Eighteenth Street between the West curb line of
Ringo Street and the East curb line of Cross Street;
and
WHEREAS, said portions of said streets are not for the time
being required for corporate purposes; and
WHEREAS.. the public interest and welfare will not be adversely
affected by the vacating of said portions of said streets:
NOW, TORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION l: It is hereby ascertained and found to be facts:
(1) That, in order to effectively consummate the
objectives of the Redevelopment Plan of The

Housing Authority of The City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, for the Central Redevelopment Area
it is necessary that the hereinafter described
streets in The City of Little Rock, Arkansas
be vacated.
(2) That said portions of said streets are not for
the time being required for corporate purposes.
(3) That the public interest and welfare will not
be adversely affected by the vacating of said
of
portions /said streets.
SECTION 2: The City of Little Rock, Arkansas hereby vacates
the following described portions of the following described streets
in The City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, and relinquishes
all its rights and the rights of its inhabitants and of the public
generally to the use thereof as streets, to -wit:
West Seventeenth Street between the West curb line
of Izard Street and the East curb line of Chester
Street; West Seventeenth Street between the West
curb line of Chester Street and the East curb line
of Ringo Street; West Seventeenth Street between
the West curb line of Ringo Street and the East
curb line of Cross Street; West Eighteenth Street
between the West curb line of Chester Street and
the Fast curb line of Ringo Street; West Eighteenth
Street between the West curb line of Ringo Street
and the East curb line of Cross Street.
SECTION 3: A copy of this ordinance, duly certified by the
City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski
County, Arkansas, and recorded in the Deed Records of said County.
SECTION 4: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5: It is hereby found to be a fact that the immediate
vacation of said portions of said streets is necessary in order to
consummate the Redevelopment Plan for the Central Redevelopment Area
in The City of Little Rock, Arkansas. Therefore, in order to preserve
the public peace, health and welfare, an emergency is hereby declared

to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval.
