AN ORDINANCE TO ABANDON AND VACATE PORTIONS OF EAST 20Th, STREET IN BRAGQIS
SECOND ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
Whereas, a petition was filed with the City Council of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas on the 7_ day of January , 1955, asking the City Council
to vacate and abandon the hereinafter described portion of East 20th Street, desig-
nated on the plat of Bragg's Second Addition to the City of Little Rock, now appear-
ing of record in Plat Book 2, Page 44, in the Office of the Recorder of Puladkd
County, Arkansas.
Whereas, after due notice as regaired by lax, the Council has, at the time
and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons desiring to be heard on the
question and has ascertained that the portion of the street hereinbefore mentioned
has heretofore been dedicated to the public use as a street herein described but has
not actually been used by the public for a period of at least five (5) years prior
to the filing of the petition; that all of the owners of the property abutting upon
the portions of the street to be vacated has filed with the Council their written
consent to such abandonment; and that the public interest and welfare will not be
adversely affected by the abandonment of such street.
NOW, Tkk1 w=S be it ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas:
SXCTICN 1. The City of Little Rock hereby releases, vacates, and abandons
all of its rights together with the rights of the public generally, except the rights
and needs of public utilities to ingress and egress to maintain and use present utility
lines located therein and thereon, in and to the street designated as follows:
That portion of East 20th Street lying between
Blocks 17 and 24 of Bragg's Second Addition to
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Section 2. A copy of this ordinance duly certified by the City Clerk shall
be filed in the Office of the Recorder of the County and recorded in the deed records
of the County.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in fares from. and after
its passage.
