AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 5805, PROHIBITING
ANY NEW CONTRACTS FOR FURNISHING FIRE FIGHTING FACILI-
TIES OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK FOR THE PROTECTION OF
PROPERTY LOCATED OUTSIDE THE CITY ISMITS, PROVIDING
FOR EXISTING CONTRACTS UNTIL NOVEMBER 10, 1955, WHICH
IS THE EXPIRATION DATE OF THE LONGEST CONTRACT NOW IN
EFFECT, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TBE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 5805 is hereby amended.
SECTION 2. That no new contracts shall be entered into,
providing for furnishing of the fire fighting facilities of
the City of Little Rock for the protection of property located
outside the City limits,
SECTION 3. That all contracts, now in effect and in which
service is rendered to property owners outside the limits of
the City of Little Rock, shall remain in full force and effect
until the termination of said contract, November 10, 1955 being
the expiration date of the longest contract now in effect.
SECTION 4. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval.
