9932ORDINANCE NO. 9932 AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO BRING PRO- CEEDINGS AGAINST THE MARION HOTEL GARAGE COMPANY FOR THE CONDEMNATION OF THE NORTH 3 FEET OF LOTS 4, 5 AND 6, BLOCK 79, ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS; AND FOR THE CONDEMNATION AND CANCEL- LATION OF A LEASE OF A STRIP OF LAND IN THE RIGHT -OF -WAY OF WATER STREET, TO BE USED BY THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE RIVERFRONT DRIVE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. That the City Attorney is hereby directed to bring proceedings against the Marion Hotel Garage Company for the condemnation of the North 3 feet of Lots 4, 5 and 60 Block 79, ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, Pulaski County, Arkansas; and for the condemnation and cancellation of a lease of a strip of land in the right -of -way of Water Street, Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, more particularly described as: "Beginning at a point in Water Street which is 4 feet due North of the West boundary line of Lot 6, Block 79, ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, extended into Water Street; thence run East to a point in Water Street which is 4 feet due North of the East boundary line of Lot 4, Block 79, ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, extended into Water Street; thence South 4 feet to the North boundary line of Block 79, ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; thence West along the North boundary line of Block 79, ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, to the West boundary line of Lot 6, Block 79, ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; thence North to point of beginning." The above described property is necessary for the construction of the Riverfront Drive. SECTION 2. That the City Attorney is further directed to secure a Court order allowing the City to take immediate posses- sion of the aforesaid property upon its posting bond in an amount to be determined by the Court. The City Attorney is further authorized to have posted on behalf of the City a bond in the amount determined by the Court pending determination of the con- demnation proceedings. SECTION 3. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance i rP* -2- shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
