AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, OF A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN
SECTION 24, TOWNSHIP 2 NORTH, RANGE 13 WEST, PULASKI
COUNTY, ARKANSAS, CONTIGUOUS TO TIM CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK ON THE NORTH AND WEST BOUNDARY OF SAID CITY,
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
k19EREAS, upon the petition of a majority of the property
owners and a majority of the acreage in the area affected, -as
"quilred by w]aw, and after due notice of hearing on said peti-
tion for the time and in the manner prescribed by law, the
County Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas, did on the 1st day
of July, 1955, enter an order annexing the following described
property situated in Pulaski County, Arkansas, to -wit:
A tract of land in the Southwest quarter of Section
Twenty -Four (24), Township Two (2) North, Range
Thirteen (13) West, more particularly described as:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Section 24,
Township 2 North, Range 13 West; thence North 00
degrees 04 minutes West (along the West line of
Section 24), 500 feet to a point; thence South 88
degrees 31 minutes East and parallel to the South
line of said Section 24, 1,079 feet to a point;
thence South 00 degrees 04 minutes East (and parallel
to the West line of Section 2L4), 500 feet to a point
�t+ on the South line of Section 24 and the North boundary
of Kingwood Place, an Addition to the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas; thence North 88 degrees 31 minutes
West along the South line of Section 24 (the North
Boundary line of Kingwood Place) , 1,079 feet to the
point of beginning,
to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, more than thirty (30) days have expired within
which any protestant could institute proceedings in the Circuit
Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas, to prevent said annexation,
and there have appeared no pro testants to this annexation; and
WHEREAS, said above described lands are contiguous to and
adjoin the City of Little Rock on the North and West boundary
of said City, and have a large amount of improvements placed
thereon at the present time.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LI TTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the following described property, to -wit:
A tract of land in the Southwest Quarter of Section 24,
Township 2 North, Range 13 West, more particularly de-
scribed as:

Beginning at the Southwest corner of Section 24,
Township 2 North, Range 13 West; thence North 00
degrees 04 minutes West (along the West line of
Section 24), 500 feet to a point; thence South 88
degrees 31 minutes East and parallel to the South
line of said Section 24, 1,079 feet to a point;
thence South 00 degrees 04 minutes East (and parallel
to the West line of Section 24), 500 feet to a point
on the South line of Section 24 and the North boundary
of Kingwood Place, an Addition to the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas; thence North 88 degrees 31 minutes
West along the South line of Section 24 (the North
Boundary line of Kingwood Place), 1,079 feet to the
point of beginning,
be and the same is hereby accepted as annexed and made a part
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; that said territory
shall henceforth be assigned and attached to the Fifth Ward
of said City; and that the residents therein shall henceforth
be considered as citizens of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
