AN OBDIBANCE FIXING A POLICY CONCERNING SICKNESS AND ACCIDENTS
TO ALL CITY NM OYNNS, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. From and after the effective date of this ordinance the head of
each department will be held Hilly responsible for the days off granted employees in
their respective departments, due to sickness or accident.
SECTION 2. The department head shall determine the illness status of the
employee and shall have authority to carry said employee on the pay roll if he feels
it justifiable to do so, providing in case of an accident, the accident occured while
the employee was in the service of the City.
SECTION 3. If the head of the department feels that the injured or sick
employee will be absent from the job for a period exceeding fifteen (15) calendar
days for a.rq one year, he is hereby ordered to submit the case to the Mayor for
further action.
SECTION 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
I its passage and app mval.
