AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE PLBWT OF ALL ACCRUED, UNUSED
VACATION TIl(E EARNED DURING PRECEDING YEAR, OF ANY CITY EMPLOYEE
WHO SHALL DIE, AFTER PASSAGE OF THIS ORDINANCE, AS SAID ACCRUED
TIME IS CERTIFIED TO BY THE DEPARTMENT HEADS, THE CIVIL SERVICE
COWISSION OR THE CITY PAMUSTER FOR ELECTED OR APPOINTED geLOY-
EES, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
r SECTION 1. From and after the effective date of this ordinance all accrued,

unused vacation time, earned during preceding year for any City employee, hired by
Civil Service, appointed or elected, who shall die, will be paid in accordance with
the certification from the Civil Service Commission, the Department Head, or the City
Paymaster as to the amount accrued to said employee.
SECTION 2. In compliance with Ordinance 8706, the said employee, in order to
be eligible to receive this accrued vacation, must have served the City as an employee
for a period of one year prior to the time of vacation leave.
SECTION 3. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval.
