DEPARTMENT TO BE HEREAFTER KNONN AS THE STREET DEPARTMENT, AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.

ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTIL ROCK,

1bereas there is considerable overlapping of duties and
responsi-
bilities of the
personnel of the Street Department and the Street Cleaning Depart-
meet,
and whereas a savings can be made in the operating cost by consolidating
these
two departments, and whereas more effective and efficient service
can be
rendered to the
citizens of the City of Little Rock. A department combining
the operation of the Street and Street Cleaning Departments is
hereby established,
and to be known
as the Street Department.
SECTION 2,
Due to the many changes made in recent years in the operation
of these departments.9 whereby some employees have been working
out of classification,
it is
deemed advisable to change some job classifications and salaries.
