ORDINANCE NO. 109046
AN ORDINANCE TO TRANSFER TO THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF LITTLE ROCK PUBLIC LIBRARY
THE MANAGEMENT OF LOTS SEVEN (7), EIGHT
(8) AND NINE (9), BLOCK EIGHTY -SEVEN
(87), ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE ROCK.
WHEREAS, The City of Little Rock recently acquired
title to Lots Seven (7), Eight (8) and Nine (9)0 Block
Eighty -Seven (87), Original City of Little Rock, as the site
for the construction of an annex to the Little Rock Public
Library and under the terms of the deed of conveyance said
City of Little Rock will be entitled to possession of said
property as of March 1. 1956.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
SECTION 1. The management of Lots Seven (7), Eight
(8) and Nine (9), Block Eighty - .Seven (87), Original City of
Little Rock, is hereby transferred to the Board of Trustees
of Little Rock Public Library. Said Board shall have the right
to collect rents, and contract for the leasing of said property.
SECTION 2. The rentals received from said property
by said Board of Trustees shall be paid into the City Treasury
and shall be segregated from all other funds of said Library and
shall be used only for payment of bills incurred.in the maintenance
of the present improvements, insurance premiums, preparing the site
for construction of an annex, contracting for architectural services
and contracting for construction of the proposed annex.
SECTION 3. The Little Rock Public Library Commission
is hereby directed to make an annual financial report concerning
said funds.to the City Council.
SECTION 4. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall
be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
