ORDINANCE NO. 10.057
AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING AN ALLEY RUNNING SOUTH FROM WEST 15TH
STREET TO WEST 16TH STREET MIDWAY BETWEEN PEYTON AND WASHINGTON STREETS IN
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a Petition was filed with the City Council of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, on the 27th day of February, 1956, asking the City Council to vacate and
abandon all that portion of an alley which extends South from West 15th Street to
West 16th Street midway between Peyton Street and Washington Street and lying be-
tween Lots 5 and 6, Block 10 of Sydney J. Johnson's Addition on the East as shown
by Plat recorded in Plat Book AB at Page 282 and Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4 of Block 4
of H. Buhler's 9th Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the West
as shown by Plat recorded in Plat Book 4 at Page 180 and also bounded on the West
by Lot 20, Pine Foryest Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, as shown by
Plat recorded in Plat Book 4 at Page 195 in the office of the Circuit Clerk and
Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas.
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Council at the time and place
mentioned in said notice, heard all persons desiring to be heard on the question,
and has ascertained that the alley, or the portion thereof hereinbefore described
has heretofore been dedicated to the public as an alley; that said portion of said
alley has not been actually used by the public generally as a street or alley for
a period of ten (10) years next prior to the filing of said petition; that all of
the owners of the property abutting upon that portion of said alley to be vacated
have filed with the City Council their written petition for abandonment and inasmuch
as the City will retain drainage and utility easements the public interest and welfare
will not be adversely affected by the abandonment of said alley.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates
and abandons all of its rights, except easements for drainage and utilities, together
with the rights of the general public in and to the alley designated as follows:
An alley extending South from West 15th Street
to West 16th Street midway between Peyton Street
and Washington Street and lying between Lots 5 and 6.
Block 10 of Sydney J. Johnson's Addition on the East
as shown by Plat recorded in Plat Book AB at Page 282
and Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4 of H. F. Buhler's 9th Addition
to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the West as shown
by Plat recorded in Plat Book 4 at Page 180 and also bounded
on the West by Lot 20, Pine For �fest Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, as shown by Plat recorded in Plat Book
4 at Page 195 in the office of the Circuit Clerk and Recorder
of Pulaski County, Arkansas.

SECTION 2. That a copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by the City Clerk
shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas, and
recorded in the Deed Records of said County.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after
its passage.
