10085oRDINANCE No. lot 085 AN ORDINANCE ASSESSING THE BENEFITS TO BE RECEIVED BY WE OWBEBS OF EACH OF THE SEVERAL LOTS, BLOCKS AND PAECEIIS OF LAND WITHIN ANNEX NO. 1 TO STRW _INPROTRAWT DISTRICT N09 606 OF 28Z CITY Oa 'LITTLE ROCK, ABw,NSsa, WHEREAS, more than two- thirds in value of the property holders owning property adjoining the locality to be affected and situated in Annex No. 1 to Street Improvement District No. 606 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, organized for the purpose of improving and paving Buchanan Street from the center line of West 17th Street to the center line of West 16th Street; Buchanan Street from the center line of West 16th Street to a point on Buchanan Street 425 feet north of said center line of West 16th Street, as therein set out have petitioned the City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, for the construction of said improvement, and that the cost thereof shall be assessed upon the real property of satd Annex No. 1 according to the benefits received; add WHEREAS, said benefits received by each and every block, lot and parcel of real property situated in said Aimex No. 1 equals or exceeds the local assessment thereoS; and WHEREAS, the estimated cost of said improvement is $9,500.00: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY MIX CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. That the said several blocks, lots and parcels of teal property in said Annex No. 1 to Street Improvement District No. 606 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, be assessed according to the assessment list for said Annex No. 1 to said improvement district as the same now remains in the office of the City Clerk or as the same may from time to time be revised, and that five per centum (5 %) of the assessment on each of said blocks, lots and parcels shall be collected by the County Collector on or before the first day of July, 1956, and five per centum (5 %) of the assessment shall be dollected by the County Collector with the first installment of general taxes becoming due in 1957 and annually thereafter with the first installment of general taxes until the whole of said local assessment shall be paid. Section 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are h*rdby repealed and tbit ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
