AN ORDINANCE RELEASING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING ALL RIGHTS OF THE CITY AND THE
PUBLIC GENERALLY IN THAT PART OF REST 27TH STREET FROM TYLER, RUNNING EAST TO
GARRISON,

PUBER IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
WERFAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Council of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas on the 17 day of July , 1956, asking
the City Council to vaoate and abandon all that portion of the street designated
on the plat of the Cherry and Cox Addition to said city, now appearing of record
in Plat Record Book No. 1, and page No. 66, in the office of the Recorder,of
Pulaski County, which lies between Block 57 Lots 6 and 7 and Block 64 Lots
1 and 8 Cherry and Cox Addition.
I EREAS, after due notices as required by law, the Council has,
at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons desiring to be
heard on the question and has ascertained that the portion of the street

hereinbefore described has heretofore been dedicated to the public generally
i
for a period of at least five years subsequent to the filing of the plat;
that all_ the owners of the property abutting upon the portion of the street
to be vacated have filed with the Council their written consent to such abandon -
ment; and that public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected by
the abondonment of such street.
NOR, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rook, Arkansas, hereby releases,
lmoates, and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the public
generally, except for the rights and needs of public utilities, including the
Little Rook Municipal Mterworks, for ingress and egress to maintain any
existing utility lines, including water lines, in said area, and except for
the rights and needs of the City of Little Rock for ingress and egress to
control drainage in said area, in and to the street designated as follows=

Addition to the City of Little Rook
SECTION 2• A copy of the ordinance duly certified by the
City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the recorder of the county and
rocorded in the deed records of the county.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
