AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $146.16 TO PAY
ALDERMAN LEE H. EVANS AS ACTING MAYOR DURING THE AB-
SENCE OF MAYOR WOODROW W. MANN FROM THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS FROM AUGUST 6, 1956 THROUGH
AUGUST 17, 1956, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby appropriates said sums
of money necessary to compensate Alderman Lee H. Evans as Mayor
of the City of Little Rock from August 6, 1956 through August 17,
1956 during the absence from the City of Mayor Woodrow W. Mann.
SECTION 2. Compensation will be on the basis of the salary
paid the Mayor of the City of Little Rock, and any sums received
by Alderman Evans during this period in his capacity as Alderman
or the City of Little Rock shall be deducted therefrom.
SECTION 3. That the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby
authorized and directed to issue the City's warrant in the sum
of $146.16.
SECTION 4. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval.
