AN ORDINANCE AUTH ORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A LEASE AGREEXENT
WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS AND ARKANSAS CHILDREN'S
HOSPITAL COVERING THE USE BY ARKANSAS CHILDRENIS HOSPITAL
OF THE CITY HOSPITAL PROPERTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Public Affairs be, and it is
hereby, authorized to execute, for and on behalf of the City, a lease
agreement with the University of Arkansas and Arkansas Children's
Hospital covering the use by Arkansas Childrents Hospital of the City
Hospital property for a period of six months from July 5, 1956.
SECTION 2. That the charitable and public work performed
by Arkansas Children's Hospital can be continued only by the said
Hospital's use of the City Hospital property for said period and this
Ordinance is necessary therefor. It is, therefore, declared that an
emergency exists and this Ordinance being necessary for the preserva-
tion of the public peace, health and safety shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage.
