AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO TAKE
PION AND SUPERVISFAN OF THE PROPERTY BEING RETURNED
TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK BY THE UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS
MEDICAL SCHOOL AND TO EMPLOY THE NECESSARY HELP TEHPORAM -f
TO MAINTAIN SAME AND REQUESTING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC
AFFAIRS TO CBTAIN SUITABLE BUILDING MANAGEMENT, INDIVIDUALS,
FIRM OR CORPORATIONS To ADVERTISE AND NEGOTIATE FOR A
LEASE ON THE PROPERTIES OF THE CITY BEING OBTAINED FROM
THE UNIVERSITY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, AZWSAS:
SECTION 1. The Mayor of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas is hereby
authorized and directed to take possession of and supervise the maintenance of the
property being returned to the City of Little Rock by the University of Arkansas.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized, directed to employ the
necessary personnel to maintain the building and guard same until such time as the
management of said building is relinquished to the management consulting individual,
firm or corporation.
SECTION 3. The Board of Public Affairs is hereby requested and directed
to employ an individual firm or corporation to supervise and obtain a lease for the
property or properties being returned to the City of Little Rock by the University
of Arkansas.
SECTION 4. The City Council hereby reserves the right to approve
or disapprove any lease or other arrangement for the use of said property made
by the consulting firm, individual or corp®ration.
SECTION 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict are
hereby repealed and this ordinance being necessary for the peace, health and
safety of the people of Little Rock, this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
