AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $114.00 TO PAY MRS.
EVELYN B. DICKENS FOR SERVICES RENDERED AS SECRETARY TO
THE COUNCIL AS A LEGISLATIVE - INVESTIGATING BODY IN THEIR
STUDY OF THE VARIOUS PHASES OF CITY GOVERNMENT IN OR13ER
TO PROMOTE MORE EFFICIENT, ECONOMICAL PUBLIC SERVICE; AS
RECOMMENDED BY THE PULASKI COUNTY GRAND JURY; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Little Rock, Ark-
ansas', as a Legislative- Investigating Body desired to study the various
phases of city government in order to promote more efficient, economical
public service, as recommended by the Pulaski County Grand Jury; and
WHEREAS, The Legislative- Investigating Body found it necessary
to retain the services of a secretary and did employ Mrs. Evelyn B.
Dickens;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the sum of $114.00 is hereby appropriated to
pay Mrs. Evelyn B. Dickens for services rendered the City Council, work-
ing as a Legislative- Investigating Body, as follows:
Five Meetings of Six meetings held ................ $25.00
Three Special Trips ............................... 6.00
Six and one -half hours dictation 13.00
Thirty -Five Hours transcription and Typing ........ 70.00
One month's typewriter rental .. $7.15
SECTION 2. That the Mayor and the City Clerk of the City of
Little Rock are hereby authorized and directed to issue the City's warrant
in the amount mentioned in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force and effect from and after its passage.
