103281i ." ORDINANCE NO. 10,1 AN ORDINANCE Air ENDING SECTIONS 1 AND 5 OF ORDINANCE NO. 5136 AND SECTION 4 Or THE AFORESAID ORDINANCE AS Ai,ENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 5971, AND FOR OTHER P UR- POSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. Section 1 and 5 of Ordinance No. 5136 and Section 4 of the aforesaid Ordinance as amended by Ordinance No. 5971 are hereby amended by this Ordinance. SECTION 2. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 5136 is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 1. The aiayor of the City of Little Rock is hereby authorized and directed to appoint a Board composed of three examiners, two of whom shall serve without pay, the third to be designated by the ;,ayor as Secretary of said Board, shall receive as compensation for handling ex- aminations, grading papers, preparing examination papers and performing other duties of said Board as set out in Ordinance No. 5136 as amended, all fees prescribed in said ordinance to be paid by engineers or applicants for license as engineers in the City of Little Rock. To examine all engineers who operate stationary steam boilers with twenty -five (25) pounds of steam pressure or more, or steam boilers attached to hoisting machines and /or commercial ice or refrigerating machines of fifteen tons (15) or more, and /or refrigerating machines of five tons (5) or more used in public buildings. Each of whom shall be skilled in the operation of both boilers and refrigerating machines as herein described, and shall have at least five (5) years ex- perience in the operation of same, and it shall be the duty of said Board to examine all applicants for licenses to operate such boilers and /or refrigerating machines within the City of Little Rock. It shall be the duty of the said Board to make proper rules and regulations governing the conducts of exam- inations of applicants, and to make and conduct investigations for the purpose of the enforcement of this ordinance, and to report violations of this ordinance to the duly constituted legal authority of the City of Little Rock." 'F ` --& S. . 1. SECTION 3. Section 4 of Ordinance No. 5136 as amended by Ordinance No. 5971 is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 4. Every such applicant who shall present himself for examination before said Board of Examiners shall pay a fee of Five dollars ($5.00)." SECTION 4. Section 5 of Ordinance 5136 as amended by Ordinance 5971 is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 5. Every person who is now operating any of the boilers and /or refrigerating machines included in this ordinance shall be licensed to operate said boilers and /or refrigerating machine without examination by making application to said Board within thirty days after written notice is given such person by said Board, and by paying to the Secretary of said Board of Stationary Engineers of the City of Little Kock a fee ofi3.00.
