AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE BOARD OF
PUBLIC AFFAIRS TO ADVERTISE, TAKE BIDS FOR, AND PUR-
CHASE TRAFFFIC LIGHTS, TRAFFIC LIGHT CONTROLS, CABLE,
AND OTH&R- NECESSARY SUPPLIES FOR USE BY THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1, The Board of Public Affairs is hereby authorized and
directed to advertise, take bids for, and purchase traffic lights, traffic
light controls, cable, and other necessary supplies for use by the Police
Department of the City of Little Rock. Said traffic lights to be in-
stalled at inter- sections on Chester Street, from Markham Street to
Fifth Street, inclusive. Said traffic lights to be inter - connected with
the present traffic lights located at 6th, 7th, and 8th and Chester and
the traffic lights located on Cross Street, from Markham to 5th Street,
inclusive.
SECTION 2. The cost of such traffic lights, traffic light controls,
cable, and other necessary supplies shall not exceed the sum of four
thousand, five - hundred dollars ( $49500.00).
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
