SELECTION, RESPONSIBILITIES TO THE BOARD OF PUBLIC
AFFAIRS, SALARY, BOND, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Purchasing Agent of the City of little
Rock will hereinafter be appointed by the City Council and
shall serve at the pleasure of the City Council.
SECTION 2. The Personnel Director of the City of Little
Rock shall hereinafter establish qualifications, give examinations
and do the necessary screening and furnish recommendations to
the City Council of the best qualified applicants to fill the
office of Purchasing Agent.
SECTION 3. The Purchasing Agent and all personnel assigned
to the Purchasing Agent's department are hereby under the super-
vision of the Board of Public Affairs.
SECTION 4. The Purchasing Agent shall be paid a salary
of Four Thousand, Eight Hundred Dollars (:4,800.00) annually.
SECTION 5. The Purchasing Agent shall post Security Bond
in the amount of Five Thousand Dollars (.P5,000) with the
premiums due on said bond to be paid by the City of Little Rock.
SECTION 6. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall
be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
