AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE CITY CLERK
TO SIGN A CONTRACT OF LEASE AGREEMENT WITH HAROLD R.
ZOOK

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized to execute on behalf of the City, a lease agreement
with Harold R. Zook, whose effective date was April 12, 1956,
which said Harold R. Zook obtained through competitive bidding.
SECTION 2. That Harold R. Zook has operated under said
lease agreement up -to -date without a formal written agreemnt.
That he is entitled to such formal agreement. That such
agreement shall be as follows:
THIS AGREEMENT, made and executed in duplicate, by and
between Harold R. Zook Sr., and the City of Little Rock, Arkansas
WITNESSETH:
THAT the City of Little Rock agrees to lease unto said
Harold R. Zook Sr., for three (3) years, 1956, 1957 and 1958
the exclusive food, drink, and novelties concessions located
in MacArthur Park, for and in consideration of the sum of Four
Hundred Dollars ($400.00) per year, to be paid as follows:
One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) on the FIRST day of June,
July, August and September of the years 1956, 1957,
and 1958.
SAID payments set forth above will be made promptly.by
the lessee as specified above, to the City Collector or one
of his deputies.
The lessee agrees to comply with all city and state reg-
ulations pertaining to the serving of foods, in -so -far as adequate
facilities are provided by the City of Little Rock.
Lessee further agrees to provide three (3) play gym sets
and slides for use in MacArthur Park before the expiration of
this lease. Said play gym sets to become the property of the
City of Little Rock, upon installation by the City.
Lessee reserves the right to set prices of food, drinks,
and novelties in keeping with established prices charged by
similar concessions located within the City of Little Rock.

That the effective date of this lease is April 12, 1956.
That the rent due in April, July, August and September, 1956,
has been paid and receipt is hereby acknowledged.
'WITNESS: Our hands and seal this day of 1956.

SECTION 3. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval.
