AN ORDINANCE ABOLISHING THE POSITIONS OF THREE AaSSISTANT
LINEMAN AND ONE PLANT OPERATOR IN THE ELECTRIC DEPARTMENT
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, CREATING THE POSITION OF FOUR
ADDITIONAL LINEMAN, ESTABLISHING SALARIES OF CERTAIN EM-
PLOYEES IN THAT DEPARTMENT, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The positions of three Assistant Lineman and one Plant
Operator in the Electric Department are hereby abolished and positions
for four additional Lineman are created in that department.
SECTION 29 The salaries of certain employees in the Electric Depart—
sent are hereby fixed and established on a calendars month basis as follows:
1 Foreman
1 Inspector
5 Lineman
$295.00 to $315.00
$295.00 to $315.00
$240.00 to $260.00
SECTION 3. The salary range shall be on a schedule as previously
established for other employees and in compliance with Ordinance No. 9006
as amended, except that any person who shall have held the position of
Assistant Lineman or Plant Operator for a period of at least two years, and
may hereinafter be promoted to the position of Lineman shall receive the
maximum rate of pay for said position of Lineman.
SECTION 4. The employees covered by the provisions of this ordinance
shall be paid on a two week pay period basis as provided for other employees
by Ordinance No. 9436, and the amount paid to each for said two weeks shall

be equal to one—half of the monthly salary as authorized herein.
SECTION 5• This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after January 1, 1957 and all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed as of that date.
