AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3803 OF ORDINANCE NO. 7888
AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 8184 TO
REQUIRE THAT BUILDINGS IN EXCESS OF THREE (3) STORIES
BE EQUIPPED WITH INTERIOR STANDPIPES FROtvI THE CELLAR
TO THE ROOF, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That Section 3803 of Urdinance No. 7888 as
amended by Ordinance 8184 is hereby amended to read as follows:
All buildings in excess of three (3) stories in height,
except open sided storage garages, shall be equipped with
one or more interior standpipes extending from cellar or
basement to the roof, except that entirely enclosed Type
III buildings when used as storage garages, need not be
equipped with interior standpipes but shall be equipped
with a standard automatic sprinkler system as required
by Section 3801, Paragraph 6.
SECTION 2. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval.
