AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR TBE INSTALLATION OF FIRE HYDRANTS WITHIN THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK FOR THE YEAR 1957•
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Whenever the Chief of the Little Rock Fire Department,
with the approval of the Arkansas Fire Prevention Bureau, shall select
locations within the City of Little Rock for fire hydrants deemed necessary
for adequate fire protection for the City of Little Peak and requests the
Board of Water Works Commissioners of the Little Rock Municipal Water Works
to install same, the said Board of Water forks Commissioners shall have full
authority to install said fire hydrants and charge rental therefor as herein-
after provided.
SECTION 2. That rates for hydrants installed under this Ordinance
shall be as set forth in Section 1, Article 3, of the Trust Indenture, dated
February 1, 1936, and approved by City Ordinance No. 5316, passed February 28,
2936, and as amended by City Ordinance No- 5712, passed March 22, 1939, and as
amended by City Ordinance No. 5914, passed dune 10, 1940, and as amended by
City Ordinance No. 6824, passed September IA, 1945, and as amended by City
Ordinance No. 9793, passed March 28, 1955•
SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed only insofar as they conflict with this ordinance.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage.
