10446ORDINANCE NO. 10,446 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS ($2,000) OUT OF THE GENERAL, FUND, TO PAY TO THE GUARDIAN OF JO ANN HENRY, AND HER ATTORNEY MAX HOWELL, IN COMPROMISE OF A JUDGMENT AGAINST WILLIAM M. DRAFFEN, A DRIVER FOR THE SANITATION DEPARTMENT, -AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT FOR WHICH JUDGMENT WAS RECOVERED, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, William MI. Draffen, a driver for the City of Little Rock Sanitation Department accidently injured Jo Ann Henry, on or about, June 1, 1955, and WHEREAS, Subsequently a judgment was obtained against William M. Draffen in the sum of Thirteen Thousand Dollars ($13,000) by Jo Ann Henry through her guardian, and WHEREAS, William M. Draffen at the present time is about to lose his drivers license as a result of said unpaid judgment, and WHEREAS, The City of Little Rock is desirous of obtaining the satisfaction of such judgment, NOWBTHEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. That the sum of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000) general fund of the City of Little Rock is hereby appropriated out of the kXX AA4 t*Xk XRZ meit, to pay to the guardian of Jo Ann Henry and her attorney Max Howell, in compromise of a judgment against William M. Draffen, a driver for the Sanitation Department at the time of the accident, for which the judgment was recovered. SECTION 2. That the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to issue the City warrant in the sum of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000) payable to the guardian of Jo Ann Henry and her attorney, Max Howell in full settlement of her claim against William M. Draffen, a driver for the City of Little Rock. SECTION 3. That upon receipt of the payment of $2,000, the guardian of Jo Ann Henry and her attorney Max Howell, agree to satisfy in full, judgment now held by the guardian of Jo Ann Henry against William M.
