AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING THE FOLLOWING
PORTIONS OF STREETS: (1) THAT PORTION OF McKINLEY
STREET AND AN UNNAMED STREET WHICH RUNS SOUTH FROM
PART OF THE SOUTH LINES OF LOT 29, PINE MANOR ADDITION
TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, AND LOT 4,
RANCH VALLEY ADDITION TO T E CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS, BETWEEN LOTS 19, 20, PINEWOOD HILLS ADDITION
TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, AND HOLLAN'S
SUBDIVISION OF BLOCK 4 OF PLEASANT HILL ADDITION TO
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; (2) THAT PORTION OF THE STREET
PLATTED AS ROOSEVELT STREET (SOMETIMES CALLED "L"
STREET) WHICH RUNS EAST FROM THE WEST LINE OF LOT 4,
RANCH VALLEY ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS, EXTENDED SOUTH 20 FEET, BETWEEN BLOCK 3,
PLEASANT HILL ADDITION TO LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS,
HOLLAN'S SUBDIVISION OF BLOCK 4, PLEASANT HILL ADDITION
TO LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, AND LOTS 4 THROUGH 9, RANCH
VALLEY ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS;
AND (3) THAT PORTION OF THE STREET PLATTED AS GARRET
STREET (SOMETIMES CALLED CLEVELAND STREET) WHICH RUNS
FROM THE SOUTH LINE OF LOT 7, RANCH VALLEY ADDITION
TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, SOUTH BETWEEN
BLOCK 3 OF PLEASANT HILL ADDITION TO LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS, AND HOLLAN'S SUBDIVISION OF BLOCK 4 OF SAID
PLEASANT HILL ADDITION; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Council of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 8th day of July, 1957,
asking the City Council to vacate and abandon the following
portions of streets, dedicated in the plat of Pleasant Hill Addition
to Little Rock, Arkansas, now appearing of record in Bat Book #1
at Sheet #122 in the Office of the Recorder for Pulaski County,
Arkansas, and in the plat of Pinewood Hills Addition to the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, now appearing of record in Plat Book #4
at page 298 in the Office of the Recorder for Pulaski County, .
Arkansas:
1. That portion of McKinley Street and an unnamed street
which runs South from part of the South lines of Lot 29,
Pine Manor Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
4and Lot 4, Ranch Valley Addition to the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, between Lots 19, 20, Pinewood Hills
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Hollan's
Subdivision of Block 4 of Pleasant Hill Addition to Little
Rock, Arkansas;
and

2. That portion of the street platted as Roosevelt Street
(sometimes called "L" Street) which runs East from the
West line of Lot 42 Ranch Valley Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, extended South 20 feet, between
Block 3, Pleasant Hill Addition to Little Rock, Arkansas,
Hollan's Sub - division of Block 4, Pleasant Hill Addition
to Little Rock, Arkansas, and Lots 4 through 9, Ranch
Valley Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
3. That portion of the street platted as Garret Street
(sometimes called Cleveland Street) which runs from the
South line of Lot 7, Ranch Valley Addition to the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, South between Block 3 of
Pleasant Hill Addition to Little Rock, Arkansas, and
Hollan's Subdivision of Block 4 of said Pleasant Hill
Addition;
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Council
has at the time and place mentioned in the Notice heard all
persons desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained
that the above described p90-tions of streets have heretofore been
dedicated to public use as streets; that said portions of streets
have not been actually used by the public generally for a period of
at least five (5) years subsequent to the filing of the above
mentioned plats; that all the owners of the property abutting upon
said portions of streets to be vacated have filed with the Council
their written consent to such abandonment; and that public interest
and welfare will not be adversely affected bythe abandonment of
said portions of streets;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases,
vacates and abandons all its rights together with the rights of the
public generally in and tothe following described portions of streets:

1. That portion of the street between Hollan's Subdivision
of Block 4, Pleasant Hill Addition to Little Rock,
Arkansas, and Lots 19 and 20, Pinewood Hills Addition
to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; said portion of
the street abuts part of the South lines of Lot 29,
Pine Manor Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
and Lot 4, Ranch Valley Addition to the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, at the North end of said portion of the
street; said portion of the street is more particularly
described as follows: Beginning at the Southwest corner
of Hollan's Subdivision of Block 4 of Pleasant Hill
Addition to Little Rock, Arkansas, thence in a Westerly
direction to the Southeast corner of Lot 20, Pinewood
Hills Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
thence North 296.8 feet along the East line of Lots 19
and 20 of said Pinewood Hills Addition to the Northeast
corner of said Lot 19; thence East 43 feet along the
South lines of Lot 29 of Pine Manor Addition to the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Lot 4 of Ranch Valley Addition
to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; thence South 308 feet
along the West line, extended North, of Hollan's Subdivision
of said Block 4 to the point of beginning; the East 18
feet of said portion of street is part of an unnamed street
which was dedicated in the pht of Pleasant Hill Addition
to Little Rock, Arkansas, which appears in Plat Book #1
at Sheet #122 in the Office of the Recorder for Pulaski
County, Arkansas (this unnamed street is also shown on
the plat of Hollan's Subdivision of Block 4 of Pleasant
Hill Addition to Little Rock, Arkansas, which appears in
Plat Book #1 at Sheet #194 in the Office of the Recorder
for Pulaski County, Arkansas); the West 25 feet of said
portion of street was dedicated as McKinley Street in the
plat of Pinewood Hills Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, which appears in Plat Book #4 at page 298 in the
Office of the Recorder for Pulaski County, Arkansas.
2. That portion of the street which was dedicated as
Roosevelt Street in the plat of Pleasant Hill Addition
to Little Rock, Arkansas, which appears in Plat Book #I-
Yat Sheet #122 in the Office of the Recorder for Pulaski
County, Arkansas (a portion of said street is shown in the
plat of Hollan's Subdivision of Block 4 of said Pleasant
Hill Addition which appears in Plat Book #1 at Sheet #194
in the Office of the Recorder for Pulaski County, Arkansas),
and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a
point which is 18 feet West of the Northwest corner of
Block 4, Pleasant Hill Addition to Little Rock, Arkansas,
and 20 feet South of the Southwest corner of Lot 4, Ranch
Valley Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
thence North 20 feet to said Southwest corner of Lot 4
of said Ranch Valley Addition; thence East 624 feet along
the South line of Lots 4,5,6,7, 8 and 9 of said Ranch Valley
Addition to the Southeast corner of Lot 9 of said Ranch
Valley Addition; thence in a Southeasterly direction 20

feet, more or less, to the Northeast corner of Block 3 of
said Pleasant Hill Addition; thence West 634 feet along the
North lines of Block 3 of said Pleasant Hill Addition and
Hollan's Subdivision of Block 4 of said Pleasant Hill
Addition (extended across streets) to the point of begin-
ning. (Said street was dedicated as Roosevelt Street,
but it is referred to on the plat of said Ranch Valley
Addition as "L" Street.)
3. That portion of the street which was dedicated as Garret
Street in the plat of Pleasant Hill Addition to Little
Rock, Arkansas, which appears in Plat Book #1 at Sheet
#122 in the Office of the Recorder for Pulaski County,
Arkansas (a portion of said street is shown in the plat
of Hollan's Subdivision of Block 4 of said Pleasant Hill
Addition which appears in Plat Book #1 at Sheet #194 in the
Office of the Recorder for Pulaski County, Arkansas), more
particularly described as follows: Beginning at the South-
east corner of Hollan's Subdivision of Block 4 of said
Pleasant Hill Addition, thence North 308 feet along the
East line of said Block 4, extended North, to a point on
the South line of Lot 7 of Ranch Valley Addition to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas; thence East 40 feet along the
South line of said Lot 7; thence South 308 feet along the
West line of Block 3 of said Pleasant Hill Addition, extended
North, to the Southwest corner of said Block 3; thence West
40 feet to the point of beginning. (Said street was dedicated
as Garret Street, but it is referred to on the plat of said
Ranch Valley Addition as Cleveland Street.)
Section 2. A copy of this ordinance, duly certified by the
City Clerk, shall be filed in the Office of the Recorder for Pulaski
County, Arkansas, and recorded in the Deed Records of this County.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
