AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION, USE -AND
r MAINTENANCE OF AN OVERHEAD-STRUCTURE ACROSS THE
ALLEY INTERSECTING BLOCK 5, ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, CONNECTING THE BANKING HOUSE OF WORTHEN BANK
AND TRUST COMPANY WITH A PARKING DECK STRUCTURE TO
BE CONSTRUCTED ON LOTS 10, 11 AND 12, BLOCK 5,
ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE ROCK.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1. Worthen Bank and Trust Company (a banking
corporation under the laws of Arkansas), its successors
and assigns, is authorized to construct, use and maintain
an overhead structure, crossing the alley intersecting
Block 5, Original City of Little Rock, connecting the
banking house of said bank with a parking deck structure
to be constructed by Little Rock Parking, Inc., an
Arkansas corporation, on Lots 10, 11 and 12, Block 5,
Original City of Little Rock; such overhead structure to
be used for the purpose of affording access between the
banking house of said bank and such portions of said
parking deck structure as may at any time be occupied
by it, its successors or assigns, as sublessee or other-
wise.
Section 2. Such overhead crossing structure shall be
erected at a height not less than fifteen (15) feet above
the surface of the alley above mentioned; and it shall be
constructed in accordance with plans and specifications
submitted to, and approved by, the City Engineer of the
City of Little Rock. Signs showing the clearance of said
structure above the surface of the alley shall be con-
tinuously maintained on both sides of the structure.
Units or installations for air conditioning either of
said buildings may be placed in or upon such overhead
structure.
Section 3. Said overhead structure may be maintained
and used by Worthen Bank and Trust Company, its successors
and assigns, so long as the respective proprietors of
said Lot 1, Block 5, and of said Lots 10, 11 and 12,
Block 5, may (through the execution of easement grants
or otherwise) give their lawful assent thereto.
Section 4. This ordinance will be effective upon
the expiration of thirty (30) days following its passage.
