AN ORDINANCE TO AUTHORIZE CITIZENS COACH COMPANY
TO CHARGE ZONE FARES FOR CERTAIN ADDITIONAL SERVICE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARRAS:
Section 1. That, in addition to the fare which it is now,
or which it may hereafter be authorized to charge, the Citizens
Coach Company be, and it is hereby authorized to charge a zone
fare of five (5) cents per passenger for service which it may be
requested to furnish beyond its termini as of the effective date
of this Ordinance to any point south of State Highway No. 10 and
west of Hayes Street and new U. S. Highways 67 and 70 (new Benton
Highway); provided, however, that service when instituted along
Hayes Street, Mississippi Street and "H" Street, or to serve that
area, shall be instituted on a trial basis as heretofore requested
by the City Council without a zone fare, but in the event that
such service is found to operate at a loss as evidenced by an
operating statement of costs per mile and revenue per mile filed
with the City Clerk, then, upon the Company's filing of such state-
meet with the City Clerk, the zone fare herein provided shall
immediately be applicable thereafter to the said area.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force on and after thirty (30) days after its passage.
