10611ORDINANCE NO. lo.611 AN ORDINANCE'AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 10,045 AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 103,411 OF THE ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, REVISING SECTION 12 OF SAID ORDINANCE NO. 10,045 AND SECTION 1 of SAID ORDINANCE NO. 1024113, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. That Section 12 of Ordinance No. 10,045 as amended by Section 1 of Ordinance No. 10,411 of the Ordinances of the City of Little Rock be and is hereby amended to read as follows: "SECTION 12. In consideration of the various obligations and duties to be performed by the Company, it shall be entitled to collect such fares and charges as may, from time to time, be fixed by the City Council, which fares shall be sufficient and adequate to provide a reasonable rate of return on its invest- ment, after paying all operating expenses, taxes, maintenance, depreciation, and amortization of its property and investment, and any other proper charges levied against said Company. The fares which may be charged, until such time as they may be changed by the procedure as set out above, shall be as follows: "Children (under 12 years of age) .07J School Children .10i Adults .15J or seven (7) tokens $1.00 Free transfers Any person boarding the South Highland bus south of Twentieth and Pine Street shall only be required to pay one fare for the purpose of riding the bus to town.1' SECTION 2. That this ordinance being necessary for the preserva- tion of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after August 1, 1957. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. PASSED: August 12 , 1957.
