AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF ONE THOUSAND ONE
HUNDRED THIRTY -SEVEN DOLLARS AND FIFTY -NINE CENTS ($1,137.59)
PAYABLE TO JOHN P. POWERS, CIVIL ENGINEER FOR PROFESSIONAL
SERVICES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, pursuant to instructions of the Board of Directors,
John P. Powers, Civil Engineer, has rendered services to the City
in the preparation of standards for streets, storm sewers, and
other improvements within the area of jurisdiction of the City of
Little Rock, covering design, approvals, materials, construction
methods, construction materials, and maintenance of streets within
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and
WHEREAS, services of this type are not a proper subject for
competitive bidding,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated the sum of One
Thousand One Hundred Thirty -Seven Dollars and Fifty -Nine Cents
($1,137.59) payable to John P. Powers, Civil Engineer, for pro-
fessional services rendered the City of Little Rock, Arkansas in
the preparation of standards for streets, storm sewers, and other
improvements within the area of jurisdiction of the City of Little
Rock, covering design, approvals, materials, construction methods,
construction materials, and maintenance of streets within the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
SECTION 2. The City Manager and Director of Finance are here-
by authorized and directed to execute the necessary warrant for
the payment of moneys appropriated in Section 1 hereinabove.
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
