AN ORDINANCE TO ABANDON AND VACATE A PORTION OF ARTHUR STREET
SITUATED BETWEEN BLOCK 14 AND BLOCK 15, PLEASANT HILLS ADDITION
TO CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, AND WHICH EXTENDS NORTH FROM t'HIt STREET
TO "I'? STREET:
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 2nd day of January,
1958, asking the Board of Directors to vacate and abandon a por-
tion of a street, hereinafter described, now known as Arthur
Street but which is designated as Morrison Street on the original
plat of Pleasant Hills Addition to City of Little Rock, said plat
appearing of record in Plat Book 1, at Page 122, in the office of
the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the Board
has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all
persons desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained
that the street,hereinafter described, has heretofore been dedi-
cated to the public use as a street; has never been opened as a
street nor actually used by the public generally since its dedi-
cation, which was more than five years prior to the filing of
said petition; that petitioners are all the owners of the property
abutting upon the portion of the street to be vacated and have
filed with the Board their written consent to such abandonment;
and that the public interest and welfare will not be adversely
affected by the abandonment of such street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby re-
leases, vacates and abandons all its rights together with the
• rights of the public generally, except for the rights and needs
Hof public utilities, including the Little Rock Sanitary Sewer
System and Arkansas Power and Light Company, for ingress and
egress to maintain any existing utility lines, including sewer

and electric power lines, in said area, and except for the rights
and needs of the City of Little Rock for ingress and egress to
control drainage in said area, in and to the street designated
as follows:
That portion of Arthur Street (originally desig-
nated as Morrison Street on the official plat
recorded in Plat Book 1, Page 122 of the Pulaski
County Records), which divides Blocks 14 and 15,
Pleasant Hills Addition to City of Little Rock
and more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of Block 14,
Pleasant Hills Addition to the City of Little
Rock, run thence South along the east line of
Block 14 to the Southeast corner of said Block
14; thence run East o the Southwest corner of
Block 15 of said Pleasant Hills Addition; thence
run North along the west line of Block 15 to the
Northwest corner thereof; thence run West to the
point of beginning.
Section 2. A copy of this ordinance duly certified by
the City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the Recorder
of the County and recorded in the Deed Records of the County.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
