AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ADVERTISE, TAKE BIDS FOR AND PURCHASE
CERTAIN MOTORCYCLE EQUIPMENT INCLUDING RADIOS FOR
USE IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT; TO TRADE IN CERTAIN
USED MOTORCYCLES AND RADIO EQUIPMENT IN MAKING
SAID NEW PURCHASES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to advertise, take bids for and purchase the following
equipment for use in the Police Department:
6 Solo Motorcycles
4 Three -wheel type motorcycles
6 Radios, transistor type, two -way with
transmitter and receiver
SECTION 2. In making said purchases provided for in
Section 1 above, said City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to use as a trade in on said new equipment the following
used motorcycles and radio equipment now in use in the Police
Department:
12 Old solo Harley- Davidson motorcycles
4 Old three -wheel type motorcycles
12 Old transistor type radios, two -way.
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall
be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval.
