10698ORDINANCE NO. 10,698 AN ORDINANCE ASSESSING THE VALUE OF BENEFITS TO BE RECEIVED BY THE OWNERS OF EACH OF THE SEVERAL BLOCKS, LOTS AND PARCELS OF LAND WITHIN SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 130 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. WHEREAS, more than two- thirds in value of the property holders owning property adjoining the locality to be affected and situated in Sewer Improvement District No. 130 organized for the purpose of constructing a sanitary sewer collection system to serve the inhabitants of the area embraced within said district and to connect said system with the basic sewer system of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, have petitioned the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock for the construction of said improvement, and that the cost thereof shall be assessed upon the real property of said district according to the benefits received; and WHEREAS, said benefits received by each and every block, lot and parcel of real property situated in said district equals or exceeds the local assessment thereon; and WHEREAS, the estimated cost of said improvement is THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($30,000.00); NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. That said several blocks, lot -s and parcels of real property in said district be assessed according to the assessment list for said improvement district as the same now remains in the office of the City Clerk, and that five percentum (5 %) of the assessment of each of said blocks, lots and parcels shall be collected by the County Collector on or before the 21st day of April, 1958, and five percentum (5 %) of the assessment shall be collected with the first installment of general taxes /6 - /ij j 'r becoming due more than five (5) months thereafter and annually thereafter with the first installment of general taxes until the whole of said local assessment shall be paid; provided, however, that after the payment of the initial installment aforesaid, the annual assessment of benefits aforesaid may, -at the - election of the taxpayer, be paid in quarterly install- ments along with the quarterly installments of ad valorem taxes.
