AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE NUMBER OF THE
MEMBERS OF THE LITTLE ROCK SANITARY SEWER
COMMITTEE; AMENDING ORDINANCE No, 8062;
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, under the terms of Ordinance No. 8062, the
Chairman of the Health Committee of the Little hock City Council
is designated as a member of the Little Rock Sanitary Sewer
Committee, and
WHEREAS, under the laws of the State of Arkansas no
member of the Board of Directors of a city may serve on any other
city commission,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the fifth member of the Little Rock
Sanitary Sewer Committee designated by Section 2 of Ordinance
No. 8062 to be the Chairman of the Health Committee of the
Little Rock City Council shall henceforth be a citizen of the
city, who is not serving on the Board of Directors or any other
commission of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Section 2. That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 8062 is
hereby amended to conform to the provisions of this ordinance;
all ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3. In order to protect the health of the
citizens of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, by the proper
function of the Little Rock Sanitary Sewer Committee, an emergency
is hereby declared, and this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
