ORDINANCE NO. 10,851
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION ONE (1) OF ORDINANCE NO.
10,782 BY APPROPRIATING FOURTEEN THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED
THIRTY -FIVE DOLLARS ($149735.00) TO ACCOUNT NUMBER 87
AND EIGHTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($18,000.00) TO ACCOUNT
NUMBER 136 FROM UNAPPROPRIATED SURPLUS NOW EXISTING
IN THE STREET FUND; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, there is an immediate need for an appropriation
of Fourteen Thousand Seven Hundred Thirty -Five Dollars ($14,735.00)
to be used under Account Number 87 of Section One (1) of Ordinance
No. 10,782, same being the Budget Ordinance for the City of Little
Rock for 1958; and
WHEREAS, there is an immediate need for an appropriation
of Eighteen Thousand Dollars ($18,000.00) to be used under Account
Number 136 of Section One (1) of Ordinance No. 10,782, same being
the Budget Ordinance for the City of Little Rock for 1958; and
WHEREAS, there is a sufficient amount in the Street Fund
which is unappropriated to provide for the above mentioned needs;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from the Street Fund
a total of Fourteen Thousand Seven Hundred Thirty -Five Dollars
1$14,735.00) to be deposited in the accounts and in the amounts
shown below:

SECTION 3. It has been determined that the lack of proper
traffic signals on vital thoroughfares in the City of Little Rock
creates a hazardous condition to the safe flow of traffic, and,
further, that certain street resurfacing must be completed while
weather conditions permit, and that by appropriating certain
moneys from an unappropriated surplus which now exists in the
Street Fund of the City these conditions can be remedied; now
therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance being necessary for the preservation of public peace,
health and safety shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage; and all ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
