3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH COVE CREEK CONSTRUICTION, INC.,
5 FOR THE ALLIS STREET DRAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT; AND
6 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for Allis Street Drainage Improvement Project, Bid #2012 -276; and,
9 WHEREAS, Cove Creek Construction, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
10 specifications in the amount of Ninety -Eight Thousand, Three Hundred Eighty -Two and 90/100 Dollars
11 ($98,382.90); being Eighty -Nine Thousand, Four Hundred Thirty -Nine Dollars ($89,439.00), plus 10%
12 contingencies;
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
14 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
15 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Cove Creek
16 Construction, Inc., for Allis Street Drainage Improvement Project, Bid #2012 -276, in the amount of
17 Ninety -Eight Thousand, Three Hundred Eighty -Two and 90/100 Dollars ($98,382.90); being Eighty -
18 Nine Thousand, Four Hundred Thirty -Nine Dollars ($89,439.00), plus 10% contingencies.
19 Section 2. Funding for this project is available from the 2012 % -Cent Capital Sales Tax Project
20 Funds.
21 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
22 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
23 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
24 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
25 resolution.
26 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
27 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
28 Section 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
