AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FIFTY TWO AND 50/100 DOLLARS
($52.50) TO GUS BLASS COMPANY AND EIGHTY NINE AND 05 /100
DOLLARS ($89.05) TO WORTHEN BANK & TRUST COMPANY -AS REFUNDS
FOR MONEY PAID BY THE SAID COMPANIES TO THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK AS ADVANCE RENTAL FOR PORTIONS OF THE PUBLIC STREETS
IN THE SAID CITY; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER
AND DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY WARRANTS
THEREFOR; AND FOR OTHER'PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Gus Blass Company has rented from the City of
Little Rock certain parts of the public street adjacent to pro-
perty occupied by the said Company and has paid in advance a
rental therefor, and
WHEREAS, Worthen Bank & Trust Company has rented from the
City of Little Rock certain parts of the public street adjacent
to property occupied by the said Company and has paid in ad-
vance a rental therefor, and
WHEREAS, both the said Companies have ceased to use the said
portions of the public street, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock
desires to pro rate the rental paid by the said Companies and
refund to the Companies that proportion of the rental yet un-
earned,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated Fifty Two and 50 /100
Dollars ($52.50) payable to Gus Blass Company and Eighty Nine
and 05/100 Dollars ($89.05) payable to Worthen Bank & Trust Company
as refunds for money paid as advance rental by the said Companies
to the City of Little Rock.
SECTION 2. The City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby
authorized and directed to execute the necessary warrants in payment
of the money appropriated in Section 1 hereinabove.
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
