AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 23 I (1) a, 23 I (2) a, 23 I (4),
23 I (5) , 23 I (6) , 28 A (1) a, 28 A (6) , 28 A (7) , 28 A (8) AND
28 A (9) OF ORDINANCE NO. 11,011, SAME BEING THE BUDGET ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, FOR THE YEAR 1960, BY PRO-
VIDING FOR AN INCREASE IN SALARY OF THE DIRECTOR OF THE Z00 AND
FOR THE DISABILITY RETIREMENT OF A FOREMAN I IN THE STREET DE-
PARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
SECTION 1. Section 23 I (1) a of Ordinance No. 11,011, same
being the Budget Ordinance of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas for
the year 1960, is hereby amended to read as follows:

SECTION 3. It has been determined that increases in salary and
payment of disability retirement, when warranted, should be made at the
earliest possible time by the City in order to effect the continued
high morale of the employees of the City of Little Rock, and that this
amendment will provide for same; now therefore, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance being necessary for the preserva-
tion of public peace, health and safety shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval and all ordinances and
parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
