AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING STREET IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT NO. 623 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, parties claiming to be the owners of more than two-
thirds in assessed value of the real property located within the
territory hereinafter described have filed a petition praying that
an improvement district be established for the purposes hereinafter
set out; and
WHEREAS, sifter due notice as required by law, the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has heard all
parties desiring to be heard, and has ascertained that said peti-
tion was signed by more than two - thirds in assessed value of the
owners of real property within said territory; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Directors of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas:
SECTION 1. There is hereby established an improvement district
embracing the following property in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
to -wit:

West, described as beginning at a point where South
right of way line of Little Rock Hot Springs Highway
(Asher Avenue) intersects the lines between NWT' NWT
and NET.NWT of said Section 17; thence South along
line between NWT NO and NEB NWT 295 feet; to a point
on West line where sets iron pin; thence Vest at right
angles to said line 59.4 feet; thence North 28 degrees
15 minutes Vest 232.4 feet; to a point on South right
of way line of said Highway; thence North 62 degrees
01 minutes East 191.3 feet to the point of beginning.

for the purpose of grading, draining, curbing, guttering and paving,
in such a manner and with such materials as the Commissioners to be
elected for said improvement district shall deem to be for the best
interest of the district, the following parts of th6 following
streets in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to -wit:
Elm Street from the South line of the pavement on Asher
Avenue South to the North right of way line of the Missouri
Pacific Railroad Company spur; Lewis Street from the South
line of the pavement on Asher Avenue South to the South
right of way line of West 32nd Street; West 32nd Street
from Elm Street West to Lewis Street;
and that the cost thereof, over and above any aid received from
any agency of the federal or city government, be assessed and
charged upon the real property above described, provided, the
liability of each lot or tract of land shall be limited to its
assessed benefits.
Said District shall be known as "Street Improvement District
No. 623 of Little Rock, Arkansas", and Harry Hastings, LeRoy
Sparrow and James W. Hartley are hereby named Commissioners, who
shall compose the Board of Improvement for said District.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
