ORDINANCE NO. 11,147
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN
REAL PROPERTY SITUATED IN PULASKI COUNTY,
ARKANSAS, NOW HELD FOR THE USE AND BENEFIT OF
THE LITTLE ROCK MUNICIPAL WATER WORKS.
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the Little Rock
Municipal Water Works, by resolution duly enacted on the 13th day
of January, 1961, has requested the Board of Directors to approve
the sale of certain real property now held for the use and benefit
of the Little Rock Municipal Water Works; and
WHEREAS, said Board of Commissioners has determined that
said lands are not needed for waterworks purposes and that the
consideration to be paid therefor is fair and reasonable; Now,
Therefore.,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk of Little Rock,
Arkansas, be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to
execute a quitclaim deed on behalf of the City of Little Rock,
conveying to C. C. Hoggard the following described real property
situated in Pulaski County, Arkansas, to -wit:
A tract of land in the NE'k of the NE 4 of Section 34,
Township 3 North, Range 14 West, described as beginning
at the intersection of the North right of way line of
the Roland Road, as relocated, with the North line of
Lot 7, Original Town of Natural Steps, recorded on Page
105 of Plat Book 1, Pulaski County, and run thence
Southwesterly along the arc of a curve having a radius
of 543.69 feet and being the said North right of way
line, 109.6 feet to the beginning of said curve; thence
Southwesterly at an angle of 39 degrees 35 minutes to
said North line of Lot 7, 2.8 feet to the West line of
said Lot 7; thence North along said West line 79.5 feet
to the Northwest corner of said Lot 7; thence East 79.5
feet along the North line of said Lot 7 to the point
of beginning, containing 0.07 acre, more or less; and

A tract of land in the SE 4 of the NE4 of Section 34,
Township 3 North, Range 14 West, described as beginning
at an iron pin on the North line of the said SE4 of the
NE4, said point being 540 feet West along said North
line from the Northeast corner of said SE4, and run
thence East along said North line 185.8 feet to a point
on the Northwesterly right of way line of Roland Road,
as relocated; thence Southwesterly along said right of
way line and at an angle of 39 degrees 35 minutes to
said North line 241.1 feet to a point on said right of
way line 540 feet West of the East line of said SE4;
thence North and parallel to said East line 153.6 feet
to the point of beginning, containing 0.33 acre, more
or less,
said conveyance to be in consideration of the payment of $100.00
to the Little Rock Municipal Water Works.
SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage.

EXCERPT FROM MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE
BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE LITTLE ROCK
MUNICIPAL WATER WORKS HELD ON JANUARY 13, 1961
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, for the use and
benefit of the Little Rock Municipal Water Works, purchased certain
lands in connection with the construction of Lake Maumelle in
order to permit the relocation of the Roland Road; and
WHEREAS, after construction of the road, the following portions
of land remained which are of no benefit to the waterworks system:

A tract of land in the NE4 of the NE4 of Section 34, Township
3 North, Range 14 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas, described
as beginning at the intersection of the North right of way
line of the Roland Road, as relocated, with the North line of
Lot 7, Original Town of Natural Steps, recorded on Page 105
of Plat Book 1, Pulaski County, and run thence Southwesterly
along the arc of a curve having a radius of 543.69 feet and
being the said North right of way line, 109.6 feet to the
beginning of said curve; thence Southwesterly at an angle of
39 degrees 35 minutes to said North line of Lot 7, 2.8 feet
to the West line of said Lot 7; thence North along said West

WHEREAS, C. C. Hoggard has offered to purchase the above
described property at a price of $100.00, which sum is in excess
of the amount paid by the Little Rock Municipal Water Works for
the land; and

WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the Little Rock
Municipal Water Works has had said lands appraised and the price
offered is also in excess of the appraised value thereof; Now,
Therefore:
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the Little
Rock Municipal Water Works that the Board of Directors of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, be requested to enact an ordinance
authorizing the sale of the aforesaid lands by quitclaim deed
to C. C. Hoggard and directing the Mayor and City Clerk to
execute said deed in consideration of the payment of $100.00 to
the Little Rock Municipal Water Works.
I, Lawson L. Delony, Secretary - Treasurer of the Board of
Commissioners of the Little Rock Municipal Water Works, certify
that the foregoing typewritten matter is a true, complete and
compared copy of the extract of the original minutes of the
regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners held on January
132 1961, insofar as they relate to the sale of the property
above described.
