111674 r< � ORDINANCE NO. 11,167 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 49 OF ORDINANCE NO. 11,139, SAME BEING THE BUDGET ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, FOR THE YEAR 1961; PERMITTING INTRA- DEPARTMENTAL TRANSFERS: AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has passed Ordinance No. 11,139 as a Budget for the City of Little Rock for the year 1961 and appropriated the sums set forth therein for the respective purposes as designated; and WHEREAS, from time to time throughout the year 1961 there arise certain needs within the Departments of the City of Little Rock over the amount originally appropriated for such purposes and conversely certain sums appropriated for specific uses are not fully needed in the several Departments of the City; and WHEREAS, it is desirable that adjustments be made from time to time within the several Departments of the City of Little Rock to provide for the efficient management of the affairs of the City; and WHEREAS, it is desired that the City Manager of the City of Little Rock be authorized to make such transfers not to exceed Five Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($500.00) per transfer from time to time as such is needed; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. Section 49 of Ordinance No. 11,139, same being the Budget Ordinance of the City of Little Rock for the year 1961, is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 49. The respective amounts of money for each and every item of expenditure hereinabove proposed as the Budget for 1961 are hereby allowed by the Board of Directors as the Budget for the City of Little Rock for the year 1961, and are hereby appropriated for the purposes therein set forth. Provided, how- ever, that the City Manager may, in his discretion, make transfers of appropriated funds within any department of the City of Little Rock as set forth herein to provide for the payment of accounts and obligations for which inadequate funds were appropriated by F- - s -2- using surplus funds herein budgeted within the department, when it appears that such budgeted funds will not be needed in their entirety for the designated purposes specified herein, and provided, further, that no such single transfer by the City Manager shall exceed the sum of Five Hundred and No /100 Dollars ($500.00)." SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict here- with are hereby repealed and this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
