ORDINANCE No. 11,172
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A CHARGE FOR THE DUMPING
OF WASTE IN SANITARY LANDFILLS OPERATED BY THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; REQUIRING THE PA )MNT THEREOF
AND PROVIDING A PENALTY; AND FOR OAR. PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby established a fee to be paid for the
privilege of dumping trash, garbage, or other materials in any sanitary
landfill which is now operated, or may hereafter be operated, by the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas. The City Manager shall establish such appropriate
procedure or procedures as may be practicable to collect the charges
established herein and he shall establish such rules and regulations as
may be necessary to effectuate the purpose of this ordinance.
SECTION 2. The charges referred to in Section 1 hereof shall be
as follows:
(a) For each truck load, or part of a load, for trucks
with a gross vehicle weight (for State licensing purposes) of:
0 lbs. to 6,000 lbs .............................$ .35
6,001 lbs. through 12,000 lbs ...................$ .50
12,001 lbs. and above . ..........................$1.50
(b) Semi - trailer- tractor units ......................$2.00
(c) Any other vehicle ............................... None
SECTION 3. No person shall dump any load or part of a load of trash
or any other materials into any sanitary landfill operated by the City of
Little'Rock, Arkansas, without paying the charge established in Section 2
hereof. Any person failing to comply with this Section shall be guilty
of misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall pay a fine of not less
than Five and No/100 Dollars ($5.00) nor more than One Hundred and No/100
Dollars ($100.00).
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval.
