AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING TWO THOUSAND AND 140 1100 DOLLARS
($22000.00) FOR COSTS OF SPECIAL CENSUS OF NU LY ANNEXED
AREA; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 11,241, SAME BEING THE BUDGET
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK FOR 1962; AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER AND DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO EXECUTE THE
NECESSARY WARRANTS IN PAYMENT THEREOF; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from unappropriated
surplus in the General Fund to the Administrative & General Ser-
vices Account No. 6, the sum of Tbao Thousand and No /100 Dollars
($2,000.00) to provide for payment of costs incurred in special
census of the newly annexed area to the City of Little Rock.
SECTION 2. Subsection d. under Suction A.(3) of Ordinance No.
11,241, same bein- the Budget Ordinance of the City of Little
iZock for the year 1962, is hereby amended to read as follows:

SECTION 3. The City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby
authorized and directed to issue the necessary warrants in payment
of moneys needed for special census expenses incurred from time to
time, which expenses shall be chargeable to the budget account herein
amended, but shall not exceed the Two Thousand and No /100 Dollars
($2,000.00) herein appropriated for such purpose.
SECTION 4. It has been found and determined that the City needs
additional money to pay expenses which have been or will be incurred
by it in connection with the special census of the newly annexed area
to the City of Little mock and that it is to the best interest of
the City and the citizens of said City that all indebtedness of the
City be paid as and when due; now therefore, an emergency is hereby

declared to exist and this ordinance being necessary for the
preservation of the public peace, health and safety shall be
in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
