AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING ONE THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED
SEVENTY SEVEN AND 12/100 DOLLARS ($12777.12) TO PROVIDE
FOR THE PAYMENT Or USE TAXES DUE THE STATE OF ARKANSAS
BY THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 11,241,
SAME BEING THE BUDGET ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK
FOR THE YEAR 19622 TO PROVIDE FOR SAME; DECLARING AN EMER-
GENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from unappropriated
surplus in the General Fund to the Administrative and General Services
Account No. 6, the sum of One Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy Seven
and 12/100 Dollars ($12777.12) to provide for the payment of Use Taxes
due the State of Arkansas by the City of Little Rock.
SECTION 2. Section A.(2) of Ordinance No. 113,2412 same being the
Budget Ordinance of the City of Little Rock for the year 1962, is
hereby amended by adding a new subsection e. to read as follows:

SECTION 3. The City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby
authorized and directed to issue the necessary warrant in payment of
the said Use Tax.
SECTION 4. It has been found and determined that the City of
Little Rock is in need of additional moneys in order to pay the Use
Tax charged the City of Little Rock by the State of Arkansas and that
it is in the best interest of the City and the citizens of said City
that all indebtedness be paid as and when due; now therefore, an emer-
gency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance being necessary
for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety shall be
in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
