AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A LAND USE PLAN FOR THE
LITTLE ROCK PLANNING AREA; REPEALING ORDINANCE
NOS. 10,662 AND 10,746; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, has heretofore by Ordinance created and amended
a Land Use Plan for the City of Little Rock and the City of
Little Rock Planning Area; and
WHEREAS, in light of the recent annexation and extension
of the planning area, it has become necessary to revise to a
great extent the Land Use Plan of the Little Rock Planning Area;
and
WHEREAS, the Planning Department of the City of Little
Rock has prepared such a Plan in conjunction with the appropriate
governmental agencies of the City and County; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Little
Rock and the Pulaski County Planning Board have approved the
Land Use Plan as prepared by the Planning Department;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby created a Land Use Plan for
the Little Rock Planning Area encompassing all lands lying within
the limits of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and all lands
outside said City Limits but within the Little Rock Planning Area,
which Plan is fully set forth and shown in maps and charts herein-
after more specifically described in Section 2 hereof.
SECTION 2. The Land Use Plan of the Little Rock Planning
Area is fully and in detail set forth in two (2) maps designated
Map "A" and Map "B ", which are attached hereto and made a part

hereof for all purposes and which are more specifically described
as follows:
a. Map "A" drawn April 3, 1962, bearing endorsements
as follows:
"This plan was approved and adopted by the
Little Rock Planning Commission at a meeting
held on
June 7, 1962

b. Map "B" drawn March 20, 1962, bearing endorsements
as follows:
"This plan was approved and recommended favorably
to the Little Rock Planning Commission by the
Pulaski County Planning Board at a meeting held on
Date May 29, 1962

SECTION 3. The legends, symbols and codes present on said
maps and charts described in Section 2 hereof shall represent the

basic uses and status for the lands so identified on the maps
or charts to accomplish the purposes and ends permitted and
authorized in Acts of 1957, No. 186, of the General Assembly
of the State of Arkansas.
SECTION 4. Upon proper completion of the maps, together
with endorsements as required herein, said maps shall be filed
of record in the Office of the Recorder of Pulaski County and
said maps shall bear an endorsement, in addition to those before
mentioned, showing the date of such filing, the plat book and
page number and other information pertaining to this Ordinance
as required by Acts of 1957, No. 186, of the General Assembly
of the State of Arkansas.
SECTION 5. Ordinance No. 10,662 as amended by Ordinance
No. 10,746, together with the maps, charts, plats and other
documents in connection therewith, and all ordinances or parts
of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
