AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 26 -13 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; BY INCREASING THE MEMBERSHIP
OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE LITTLE ROCK MUSEUM OF NATURAL
HISTORY; ESTABLISHING TERMS OF OFFICE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Section 26 -13 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas,is hereby amended to read as follows:
11Sec. 26 -13. Board of trustees -- Appointment; terms.
There is hereby created a board of trustees of the museum
which shall consist of not less than nine (9) nor more than fif-
teen (15) members. The initial members of the board of trustees
of the museum shall be appointed as herein provided for terms
as follows:
Not less than three (3) nor more than five (5) members
for terms of two (2) years each; not less than three (3) nor
more than five (5) members for terms of four (4) years each;
and not less than three (3) nor more than five (5) members for
terms of six (6) years each.
All successive appointments shall run for a term of six
(6) years, which shall thereafter be the term of each position
on the said board.
The city manager shall make recommendations to the board
of directors of the city for appointments to be made to the
board of trusteescf the museum and the board of directors
shall appoint the persons to fill such vacancies as may occur
on the said board."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval.
