ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, VACATING A PORTION OF WEST
30TH STREET BETWEEN HAMILTON STREET AND VIRGINIA
STREET IN HAMILTON & BRACK ADDITION TO THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the =/ day
of October, 1962, asking the Board of Directors to vacate and
abandon all of that portion of West 30th Street between Hamilton
Street (now known as Belle Meade) and Virginia Street (now known
as Alameda) in Hamilton & Brack Addition to the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, as designated on the plat of said Addition now
appearing of record in Plat Book 1, Page 175, in the office of
the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas, subject however, to any
public easements in said street; and
WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the Board
of Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice,
heard all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has ascer-
tained that the street, hereinbefore described, has heretofore been
dedicated to the public use as a street, as herein described; has
not been actually used by the public generally for a period of at
least five (5) years subsequent to the filing of the plat; that all
of the owners of the property abutting upon the steeet to be vacated
have filed with the Board of Directors their written consent to such
abandonment; and that public interest and welfare will not be adversely
affected by the abandonment of such street;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little mock, Arkansas, hereby
releases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the
rights of the public generally, in and to the street designated
as follows:
That portion of West 30th Street between Hamilton
Street (now known as Belle Meade) and Virginia
Street (now known as Alameda) as shown on the Plat
of Hamilton & Brack Addition to the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, now on file in Plat Book 1, Page
175 in the office of the Circuit Clerk of Pulaski
County, Arkansas;
subject, however, to any public utility easements located in said
street.
SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by
the City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of
Pulaski County and recorded in the Deed Records of the County.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
