AN ORDINANCE
ACCEPTING THE ANNExATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY
TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. It is hereby recognized that a majority of the
real estate owners of a tract of land contiguous and adjoining
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, duly petitioned the County
Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas, that their property be annexed
to the City of Little Rock; and that after publication of notice
of the hearing on said petition and other formalities required
by the Statutes of Arkansas, a hearing was held and the County
Court of Pulaski County made a finding that all requirements for
annexaticn had been met and on November 30, 1962, entered an
order annexing to the City of Little Rock the lands described in
this Ordinance; and that no proceeding was instituted in the Cir-
cuit Court of Pulaski County to prevent the annexation within
thirty days from the date of the order of the County Court of
Pulaski County.
SECTION 2. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, pursuant to
the Statutes of Arkansas, does hereby accept the said annexation
and the following described lands are hereby annexed to the City
of Little Rock:
Beginning at a point on the East line
of Section 3, Township 1- North, Range
13 -West, being the Northeast corner of
the Southeast one - quarter, Southeast
one - quarter (SEA SE-w) Section 3, Town-
ship 1- North, Range 13 -West; thence
proceed West along the present city
limits line, being the North line of
Southeast one- quarter Southeast one -
quarter (SEA SEA) and the Southwest
one - quarter Southeast one - quarter
(SW11 SEA) of Section 3, Township 1-
North, Range 13 -West to the Northwest
corner of the Southwest one - quarter
Southeast one - quarter, Section I. Town-
ship 1- North, Range 13 -West; thence
South along the North and South center
line of Section 3, Township 1- North,

to the North and South center line, Sec-
tion 10, Township 1- North, Range 13 -West
to the Northwest corner, Lot 13, Block 5,
Hicks Interurban Addition; thence East
along the East and West center line of
Section 10, Township 1- North, Range 13
West to the East line of Section 10,
Township 1- North, Range 13 -West; thence
North along the East line of Section 10,
Township 1- North, Range 13 -West, and
Section 3, Township 1 -North Range 13-
West to the point of beginning, all in
Pulaski County, Arkansas.
SECTION 3. It appearing that the residents in this area
hereby annexed are suffering serious hardship and inconvenience
because they are deprived of the services provided by the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, in order to preserve the peace, health and
safety of the people of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, an
emergency is hereby declared and this Ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage.
