ORDINANCE NO. 11,357
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THREE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED AND N01100
DOLLARS ($32500.00) FOR ELECTION EXPENSES AND APPROPRIATING SEVEN
THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED FORTY EIGHT AND N01100 DOLLARS ($7,648.00)
FOR PERSONNEL OMITTED FROM THE HEALTH - CLINIC AND PARK DEPARTMENT -
GOLF COURSES BUDGET; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 11,333, SAME BEING THE
BUDGET ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK FOR 19632 TO PROVIDE
FOR SAME; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, in order to provide the moneys incidental to the
expense of holding a Special Election in the City of Little Rock
it is necessary to appropriate same; and
WHEREAS, in preparing the Budget for the year 1963, there
was omitted an appropriation for salaries for a Health & Housing
Inspector in the Health - Clinic Department and a Semiskilled Laborer
for the Golf Courses, all of which need now to be included in the
Budget for 1963;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF'DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from unappropriated
surplus in the General Fund the sum of Three Thousand Five Hundred
and No /100 Dollars ($3,500.00) to Administrative and General Ser-
vices Account No. 6 in order to provide for expenses to be incurred
in connection with a Special Election to be held in the City of
Little Rock.
SECTION 2. Subsection 4. under Section (1)C. of Ordinance
No. 11,333, same being the Budget Ordinance of the City of Little
Rock for the year 1963, is hereby amended to read as follows:

SECTION 3. There is hereby appropriated the sum of Four
Thousand Six Hundred One and No /100 Dollars ($4,601.00) to the

Health - Clinic Account No. 180 to provide for a Health & Housing
Inspector omitted from the Budget.
SECTION 4. Section (12)A. of Ordinance No. 112333 is hereby
amended by adding a Subsection 18 to read as follows:

SECTION 5. Subsection B. under Section (12) of Ordinance No.

SECTION 6. There is hereby appropriated the sum of Three
Thousand Forty Seven and No /100 Dollars ($3,047.00) to the Parks
Department -Golf Courses Account No. 212 to provide for an addi-
tional Semiskilled Laborer omitted from the Budget.
SECTION 7. Section(24)A. of Ordinance No. 11,333 is hereby
amended by adding a Subsection 15. to read as follows:

SECTION 9. It has been found and determined that certain
errors were made in the Budget for 1963 which seriously affect the
employment by this City of certain valuable employees and which
tend to deprive said employees of the right to compensation for
their labor and further that the City has obligated itself to

finance a Special Election to be held in the City of Little Rock
and that both of these purposes can be accomplished only by this
ordinance; NOW THEREFORE, an emergency is hereby declared to exist
and this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the
public peace, health and safety shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
