AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ACCEPTING THE
ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS, OF CERTAIN LANDS DESCRIBED AS
THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF THE NORTHWEST
QUARTER (NEk NWk); THE NORTHWEST QUARTER
OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER (NWk NEk) ; AND
PART OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF THE
NORTHWEST QUARTER (SEk NWk) AND PART
OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF THE NORTH-
EAST QUARTER (SWk NEk); ALL IN SECTION 4,
TOWNSHIP 1 NORTH, RANGE 13 WEST, PULASKI
COUNTY, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, the County Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas,
entered its Order on June 9, 1964, upon the Petition of
Cenark Corporation and John W. Bond, Trustee, being a
majority of the owners of the property affected and owning
over one -half thereof, after due notice.of hearing on said
Petition for the time and in the manner prescribed by law,
ordering the annexation to the City of Little Rock of the
following described lands located in Pulaski County, Arkansas:
Part of the SEk NWk and part of the SWk NEk, Section 4
T -1 -N, R -13-W, Pulaski County, Arkansas, being more par-
ticularly described as follows:
Starting at the Northwest corner of the SEk NWk, Section
49 T -1 -N, R -13 -W, thence South along the West line of the
said SEk NWk for 161.8 feet to a point on the South right -
of -way line of West Markham Street; thence East along the
said South right -of -way line of West Markham Street for
540.0 feet to the point of beginning of the herein des-
cribed tract; thence by a deflection angle of 89° 55' to
the right from the last described course for 17143 feet;
thence by a deflection angle to the left of 90° 00' for
434.65 feet; thence by a deflection angle to the right
of 24° 51' for 167.2 feet; thence by a deflection angle
to the right of 60 14' for 60.1 feet; thence by a deflection
angle to the left of 180 57' for 669.2 feet; thence in a
southeasterly direction for 37.8 feet to the Northwest
corner of Lot 120, Birchwood Addition; thence in a south-
easterly direction along the North line of Lots 120, 1219
122, Birchwood Addition for 438.55 feet to the Northwest
corner of Lot 132, Birchwood Addition; thence in a south-
easterly direction along the North line of Lots 132, 133,
134, 135, and 136 for 414.98 feet to a point on the East
line of the SWk NEk, Section 4, said point being the North-
east corner of Lot 136, Birchwood Addition; thence North
along the East line of the said SWk NEk for 630.35 feet to

a point on the South right -of -way line of West Markham
Street; thence West along the South right -of -way line of
West Markham Street for 2119.4 feet to the point of be-
ginning, containing 17.0 acres, more or less, and
NEk NWk and the NWk NEA, all in Section 4, Township 1
North, Range 13 West, together with a strip of land
lying North of the first described parcel and South of
the second parcel described said strip being bounded
on the West by the Westernmost line of the first des-
cribed parcel extended Northward, on the South by the
North line of said first described parcel, on the East
by the Easternmost line of said first described parcel
extended Northward and on the North by the South line of
the second described parcel.
WHEREAS, more than thirty (30) days have elapsed since
the entry of said Order of the County Court of Pulaski County,
Arkansas, and no person, firm or corporation has instituted
any proceeding in the Circuit Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas,
or elsewhere, to prevent such annexation, and no protestants
have appeared and no notice given to the authorities of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, of any attempt to vacate, review,
set aside or appeal from the said Order of the County Court; and
WHEREAS, said above described lands are contiguous to
and adjoin the City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION I. That the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, acting
through this Board of Directors, does hereby approve the annexa-
tion of, and does hereby accept and make a part of the incor-
porated area of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, all of the
lands described hereinabove in this Ordinance.
SECTION 2. It is further ordered that said lands be,
and they are hereby, assigned and attached and made a part
