AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY FIVE THOUSAND
AND NO 1100 DOLLARS ($175,000.00) FROM STREET RIGHT -OF -WAY
FUND, PROJECT 1 EAST -WEST EXPRESSWAY, FOR THE ACQUISITION
OF CERTAIN STATE OWNED PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK
FOR RIGHT -OF -WAY PURPOSES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from Street Right -of-
Way Fund, Project 1 East -West Expressway, the sum of One Hundred
Seventy Five Thousand and No /100 Dollars ($175,000.00) for the acquisi-
tion of certain lands and construction easements in certain other
lands now owned by the Arkansas State Hospital or under lease to
the Arkansas Military District, or both, which lands shall be used
as a part of the right -of -way within the East -West Expressway. This
appropriation is made in furtherance of the transaction contemplated
in Resolution No. 2,814 of the Board of Directors of the City of Little
Rock, adopted March 5, 1962.
SECTION 2. The property to be acquired for right -of -way purposes
by purchase pursuant to Section 1 hereof is as follows:
A tract of land situated in the City of Little Rock, County of
Pulaski, State of Arkansas, being part of the NE'k of the SE'k of
Section 6, and part of the NW'k of the SWk of Section 5, all in
Township 1 North, Range 12 West of the 5th Principal Meridian and
being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of the NE'k of the SE'k of
said Section 6; thence S 87039103" E, 1341.90 feet to the South-
east corner of the NE'k of the SE'k of said Section 6; thence S
86020'43" E, 1320.28 feet to the Southeast corner of the NW'k
of the SW'k of said Section 5; thence N 1056'57" E, 285.00 feet
to a point on the east line of the NW'k of the SW'k of said Sec-
tion 5; thence S 79041'57" W,329.45 feet; thence N 88053123" W,
1600.86 feet to a point in the NE'k of the SE'k of said Section 6;
thence S 86012'27" W, 456.72 feet; thence N 9010157" E, 39.43
feet; thence N 88053123" W, 17.50 feet; thence S 60011'57" W,
106.48 feet; thence N 87039'03" W, 181.35 feet to a point on the
west line of the NEk of the SE'k of said Section 6; thence S 20
10132" W, 80.00 feet to the point of beginning and containing
10.57 acres, more or less.
SECTION 3. The property in which a Construction Easement shall
be acquired pursuant to Section 1 hereof is as follows:

A tract of land situated in the County of Pulaski, State of
Arkansas, being part of the NEk of the SEk of Section 6, Town-
ship 1 North, Range 12 West of the 5th Principal Meridian,
being more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Southwest corner of the NEk of the SE'k of
said Section 6; thence N 2010'32" E, 80.00 feet to a point on
the west line of the NEk of the SE'k of said Section 6; thence
S 87039'03" E, 181.35 feet; thence N 60011137" E, 106.48 feet;
thence S 88053'23" E, 17.50 feet to the point of beginning;
thence S 88053'23" E, 449.52 feet; thence S 86012127" W, 456.72
feet; thence N 9010'57" E, 39.43 feet to the point of beginning
and containing .205 acres, more or less.
SECTION 4. Section 2 of Resolution No. 2,814 of the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, adopted March 5,
1962, is hereby amended to reflect the descriptions as set forth in
Sections 2 and 3 hereof.
SECTION 5. The City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby
authorized and directed to issue the necessary warrant in payment
of the moneys appropriated in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
